Robert Jordan, a native of Arlington, Texas, is an Arlington High School graduate who played football for UNLV before returning home. He began his professional life in banking while working part-time in construction — a passion that eventually grew into a full-scale company.
Thanks to his deep knowledge of the housing market, finance, and insurance, Robert built Villathais Construction from the ground up. What started as a solo operation now includes a dedicated team of over 70 employees helping homeowners from roofs to renovations.
How long have you been working in the construction field? I roofed my first house at 15, and I’ve been passionate about building ever since.
What has been your favorite project? One of the most memorable was the full rebuild on 1818 Woodridge after the 2010 Rush Creek Floods. We removed load-bearing walls, crafted custom cabinetry, and added hand-scraped hardwoods — a dream remodel. Even though the city later tore the house down, the experience shaped how I lead our projects today.
What has built Villathais Construction into the business that it is today? It all comes down to a relentless commitment to quality — and having an amazing support system from my family and team.
When you aren't on a roof or remodeling someone's home, what do you like to do? I enjoy hunting, fishing, and spending time with my family and dogs.
What is your favorite sports team? The Texas Rangers.
Any final words? My roots in Arlington and early involvement in community sports and FFA gave me the foundation to build something lasting. At Villathais, we treat every project like it matters — because it does. We’re not just renovating houses; we’re helping people feel at home.
